Sigh.

For the first time, *every single storyline* in the episode was a dud. There was no respite. There was no relief. There was only pain, and the burning question, "How could such a brilliant show have fallen so far so fast?"

I do not enjoy watching:

* Claire hanging out with and listening to someone like West, who persuades her to take part in a petty and dangerous prank. So many things could still go wrong, from Debbie cracking under the stress, to the Company hearing about a flying boy and a regenerating girl.

* Mohinder allowing himself to be a pawn and trying to rebel in pathetic ways. ("I'm taking Molly and leaving! Er, except I actually can't.") Although I am so glad he decided not to inject Monica with the virus, because if he had, that would have been it for me. I would not have been able to like the character ever again.

* Sylar continuing to be evil. The only justification for not killing him at the end of last season is to allow him to get a redemption arc. And I'm not seeing it yet.

* Mr Bennet sliding back into his old ways. He shot a man in cold blood.

* Hiro messing up history even further by kissing Yaeko and alienating Kensei. And she's not even worth it.

* Peter continuing to be not terribly interesting. His journey to a devastated future New York could have been cool, but we saw this before, last season. It had impact then. The second time around? Not so much.

My sister's decision after this episode: "Call me for the Nathan scenes."

In other news, Heroes creator apologises to fans. So he should.
